Backup & Restore

Your data. 100% yours. Let’s make sure you keep it.

Yoodoo doesn’t collect your personal data.
No accounts. No hidden syncs. No creepy servers.
Your data stays fully local — which is awesome for privacy, but it means:

⚠️ If you delete the app or switch devices, your data can disappear.

Luckily, PRO users get access to a simple but powerful Backup & Restore feature.

🔐 How It Works

Yoodoo syncs your data directly to your device's cloud storage:

  • Android → uses Google Drive

  • iOS → uses Apple iCloud

To set it up:

  1. Open the Main Menu

  2. Tap Backup & Restore

  3. Connect your account (Google or Apple)

Done! From here on, your data will automatically back up every 12 hours.

📲 Switching Devices

When setting up Yoodoo on a new phone:

  1. Install the app

  2. Tap Backup & Restore in the main menu

  3. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account you used before

  4. Your latest backup will be restored automatically

🧠 Important: Make sure you’re logged into the correct account!
If you use the wrong one, you might accidentally overwrite your current data with an old backup. We've seen it. It’s not fun.

❗ Cross-Device Compatibility

Currently, iOS and Android backups are not cross-compatible.

  • Android = Google account

  • iOS = Apple iCloud

  • Each platform has its own subscription and data store

We know this isn't ideal — and yes, we’ve heard your frustration.

But here's the good news:

☁️ Yoodoo Cloud Sync is coming in 2026

This will allow:

  • Universal cloud backups

  • Cross-device sync

  • Full account portability
Stay tuned. Big things are coming.

💬 Final Note

Your Yoodoo data is yours — no logins, no tracking, no server-side weirdness.
Just don’t forget to back it up, especially if you’re changing phones.

It takes two taps, and it could save your entire system.
You’ll be amazed how much more you actually finish 💪
